Chilled water systems require chemical
treatment, particularly with micro-biocides. They are
particularly susceptible to microbial infestations and
should also be protected against corrosion and the
possible ill-effects
of water and its dissolved components.
Systems containing anti-freezing agents like mono-ethlyene-glycol
are vulnerable to microbial colonisation and should
always be treated appropriately with anti- microbial
chemicals.
Water can contain many microbiological contaminants
such as nitrite and sulphite reducing bacteria and
pseudomonads.
Chemical levels and the microbiological status of the
water contained within chilled water systems should be
checked and verified quarterly.

and treatment of chilled water systems please
