The Workplace Regulations Approved Code of Practice
imposes a duty of care on building owners and managers
to ensure that mechanical ventilation systems
(including air conditioning systems) are regularly and
properly tested and maintained to ensure they are
clean and free from any thing that may contaminate the
air. |
|
To demonstrate compliance with the ACOP there is a
need to periodically monitor indoor air quality and
thereby provide tangible evidence that a responsible
approach is being adopted by those managing the
building services. |
